A dark-blue wooden plank covered with special glitter paint. The pictures are cut-outs from Dutch 'Happinnez' magazine. The elephant in the center symbolizes Ganesha, Indian deity, which is also called the Lord of Obstacles and the Lord of Intelligence and Wisdom.
Ganesha is one the most popular and well-known gods in the Hindu pantheon. He's mainly worshiped for as the remover of obstacles, both material and spiritual ones. This was given as a present for my Dutch friends, to 'enlighten' their house a bit : ) |
